Tansey & Severn Ltd. of Underwood

Tansey & Severn Ltd. of Underwood was acquired by the Midland General Omnibus Company on 6th April 1929 and continued as a separate associate company within the Midland General organisation until it was wound up 17.12.1946.

Tansey & Severn VO 1827 Leyland Lion LT1 / Leyland B35F pictured at the Wollaton Street, Nottingham Terminus in August 1929. Purchased new in April 1929, the original red livery with a cream roof survived until at least July 1931 when it received Midland General fleet number 115.

Destination: the Tansey and Severn number 10 service to Alfreton.
The roof mounted destination board reads 'ALFRETON-NOTTINGHAM via EASTWOOD'.

Tansey & Severn RR 9948 Leyland TD1/Leyland L27/24RO, purchased new in 1928. In original red and cream livery. Later to become MGO fleet number 105.
The location is Wollaton Street, Nottingham.
Destination: the Tansey and Severn number 10 service to Alfreton.
